I taught myself Fusion360 on a trip to Mexico [it was hot as hell] and enjoy it thoroughly. I love to design in 3D- and then cut on the laser or print on a Prusa MK4.
I am 77 and sold my shop to an employee when I was 75. Still go to the shop 7 days a week [except Jan and Feb] and love to work- you spend your life working and it is hard to stop. I retired when I was 62 during that down cycle and kept working -[takes the less labor-intensive work] describes...
Travel with your kids is very important. When my daughter was 13 we started touring the country [2 weeks a year] in my full custom '67 corv convert-
until she was about 21. We have seen almost all the states [not Alaska- I am trying to escape winter].
By the by- she worked with me for 20 years...
Have known Fred [online] since I bought my first Gerber Edge 25 years ago and found him on a Gerber forum. Followed him here. He was a good Human Being. That is the highest honor.
If I am dissatisfied with a company I do not complain [unless it is something they need to know], find someone better. Everyone is different- and not all assholes. Just noticed I am a new member- interesting.
My daughter and I were in a Sign biz for 20years, she moved to Austin Tx and now is doing project management like the one above- sometimes 1-2 million $. She should have taken over the biz when I retired?
Roland RF640- we are on our 4th machine using only aftermarket inks. We have two printing replace after 4 years of constant use and never have down time, 4 color, one head.
