You also need to make sure your os can handle it. I maxed out at 8gb last week but had to goto windows7 64 before it would use all 8 and not the 4 gb 32 supports

You will need to compensate for the peak and valleys of the container during the design. I believe this si the excess that is being mentioned. There was a post not too long ago where someone was trying to determine the exact amount of excess to add and they had a formula to go by I believe.

I am not at my comp currently but it does seem like I have been able to do it in the past. I will check when I get home but it may have something to do with the version you are saving as.
