  1. Material shifting BAD when cutting

Just ruined about 6' of decals. My 300 picked up the registration marks just fine. When I pulled the print the cuts were off. The closer to the end (front) the worse they were. Blade pressure seems OK. And speed is the same as I've ever used. Any idea what could be causing the shift? Do the...
  2. Ahhhh new heads....

Today I'm officially a printer again instead of a printer technician. Ended up replacing the heads on my sp300.....banding, sh!*%y prints, etc. Hard to spend money like that but I've probably lost more than that trying to fix it. Machine has been going non-stop for 3 hours now and the...
  3. Who's got a big cutter?

I have a client that wants his logo on a suburban and an 8' tall trailer. Logo would end up being larger than 6' x 3' tall and I'd rather not seam off of my little cutter. Would anyone like to cut these for me? It's just a big white oval and mid grade Oracal or Avery is fine. I'd need 6 of them...
  4. Font help

It may be hand painted. I won't be able to lay my hands on it. I've gone through all of my cartoon-ny stuff and no match. Anyone? .
  5. MIKE at INSIGNIA SIGNS

Thanks again! You saved my tail (and probably my liver)! I hope I can repay the favor someday. Maybe at least pay it forward. And 10sAcer, thanks for our quick response. There are a lot of good folks here.
  6. Banners needed while printer is down.

Hi All, I'm licking my wounds in the Roland thread but need some banners printed in the meantime. I can send hi res JPEGS. I need 2 @ 72" x 28" and two and 24" x 36". 6 grommets in the long ones and 4 in the smaller one. Taped hems are fine. I need them shipped to 29455 by tomorrow....of...
  7. From bad to worse.

Arrived this morning after and overnight soak. I noticed that the yellow tube had wicked some magenta into it. I syringed it clean and then replaced the yellow damper (yes I keep spares now). Back to test print.....NO BLACK OR CYAN....none....I can pull it through the cap tops but it's not...
  8. Dear Lord, Give me the strength...with pics this time

First of all....Artbot...thanks a ton. The fact you called a perfect stranger is a testament to your character. Fighting banding but not sure if it's what everybody else calls banding and at what point I should just suck it up and print at 16/2 @ 720x1440. As I've mentioned in another (couple...
  9. Fresh start...basic profiles...

Working with a SP300 running Colorip. I've started fresh with everything trying to fix the banding issue. It is not the heads, I have new cap top and dampers (they were due anyway). Test patterns are fine with the exception of the fill pattern. I'm trying to adjust the calibration as I think it...
  10. Help me Obi Wan....SP300 banding

Sorry for a repeat. I know this has been covered before. I'm to the point now where I guess I have to look at manually adjusting the head. All tests print fine. I have to reprint some damaged panels from a past job (prior to the banding issues) and I'm having to print at 16 passes/2...
  11. Edges not straight?

Hi all, Printing (Roland Sp300/Colorip) some 82" tall sections for a trailer and noticed while trimming that the edges aren't straight. At first I thought I'd trimmed my straight edge concave but that ain't it. The print seems to start fine, then move inward (outward on the other side) the back...
