Bad dampers can also cause this along with bad O-rings .... I didnt see you put those on the list of items replaced! $700 for a new head ... if you can get print heads for $700 get them!!!! I have yet to find them for under $1K!!

Thanks for the advice .... by the encoder strip i take it you mean the sensor by the blade? I have cleaned it with no reults .... Or do you mean the plastic strip at the top that runs the length of the machine, I havn't cleaned it but will do now and see what happens.

whats your print speed at ... IE standard, high speed? I highly doubt its you any hardware issue ... I have personally seen this before and 9/10 its simple adjustments that will fix this ...
