  1. Need Help Fuji Acuity Prime UV gives noticeably thicker black layers

I use ColorGate, so not sure how Printfactory works, but if I base what I know from mine to here then you should have your limit set around 189 or 198. You want to set it where there is no more visible change with any of the colours. With CG I have it set to 300, and mine looks like your 189.
  2. Need Help Fuji Acuity Prime UV gives noticeably thicker black layers

Are you making your profile in the rip software or using i1 profiler? Those curves look way off to me.
  3. Need Help Fuji Acuity Prime UV gives noticeably thicker black layers

The black limits in the rip might be set high. I know some rips have a black point compensation that dumps a ton of ink to make a rich black, but often it too much. I have never used Print Factory, but it sounds like your black limits are set high. You can also make your artwork using only 100K...
  4. Epson S80 Issue

Too bad you're not in Winnipeg, I could do the repair for much cheaper, would just need to source the part.
  5. Epson S80 Issue

Have you looked at the heads to see if there is anything on it? Even the tiniest bit of dust can collect ink and start drips on prints. Do a thorough manual clean and see if that clears it up. I get that sometimes on my machines and it just requires a little clearing up. You'll be surprised how...
  6. Epson SureColor S80600 - FULL COLOR DISAPPEARANCE

It's the ink delivery system that sits on top of the print heads. The one with the ink lines going into, it's also called Duct CR just used to calling it damper from older machines.
  7. Epson SureColor S80600 - FULL COLOR DISAPPEARANCE

Happens to me sometimes, run a clean and good as new. Never happens during a print unless media jam, so if it's during a print it could be damper needing to be replaced. If it's from sitting few a few days, then just needs a clean. I have 3 80600s, and never had a replace parts for this issue...

2 things, either run your feed calibration or just run it 8 pass HQ on uni. Solid colour can be a pain, if its large solid colours just run it uni, a little extra time is better then wasted media.
  9. Question How to get a better profile? Epson s80600, Onyx Thrive 19 and Xrite i1 Profiler

I make mine through my rip, I use ColorGate. Making a profile is pretty simple with CG, never tried it with i1Profiler.
  10. Care to share your Epson experience?

The dryer is needed even for the 80600, depending on the material and ink used. Using the metalic silver ink with no dryer is not going to set and stick to liners. Even reflective vinyls I find I need the dryer.
  11. Care to share your Epson experience?

Strange, I have very little with smell with 3 running. The only strong smells we get is depending on the stock. Some 3M stock, 40C for example, smells when heated, but ink itself doesnt smell off mine.
  12. Care to share your Epson experience?

We have 3 S80600 here, they've been great. Aside from lack of support here, reason why I started doing all the support myself, machines pump out work almost non-stop sometimes running all 3 even over night.
  13. Mantienance Request Pront00002000 on S30670

That has to do with the ink lines. After so many hours they recommend replacing the lines, but if you have no ink leaks no need to replace really. Just say yes to wanting to still use the part, confirm and it'll go away for about a week, then do it again. Only way to clear the error is using the...
  14. Swiss Q impala color question

This is for anyone who has experience with the Swiss Q printers, especially the Impala 4. We are considering one, but after seeing the sample prints for the stock and files we sent them, we find the colors very washed out. Bright red, 100 magenta and 100 yellow, comes out bland almost like...
  15. Epson Support is TERRIBLE!

Nice, but here there is no dealer that has local support. That's why I had to start doing it myself. Haven't run into any issues doing my own service, pretty straight forward. The only issue is getting parts because Epson won't sell me parts directly, I have to order thru a dealer.
  16. Epson Support is TERRIBLE!

I've been in the same boat, now I do the work on my 3 S80600 myself. The problem you're having sounds like ink starvation from the damper. Not too difficult to replace, part not expensive either. One test you can do to see if it's that is set a pass delay in dashboard. I do that for some stocks...
  17. New flatbed recommendations

How much do one of those go for with the 3 rows?
  18. ICC Profile for Epson s80600L & Flexi 21

I made my own profiles using ColorGate, rip should convert it over to the 9 colors after profile creation, thats what I see with ours. Never used Flexi so don't know how that one works for profiling but they should all be somewhat the same.
  19. s80600 warping prints

I can't buy Epson parts from Epson, very dumb, but Grimco lets me buy them thru them so I don't have much to complain about them.
  20. s80600 warping prints

How is the print quality in the middle? If the print quality is a little less the on the edges then there might be some smoot on the encoder trip. I've had that happen on mine. Try giving it a wipe with clean dry cloth. Might be all it needs.
