Strange, I have very little with smell with 3 running. The only strong smells we get is depending on the stock. Some 3M stock, 40C for example, smells when heated, but ink itself doesnt smell off mine.

We have 3 S80600 here, they've been great. Aside from lack of support here, reason why I started doing all the support myself, machines pump out work almost non-stop sometimes running all 3 even over night.

Nice, but here there is no dealer that has local support. That's why I had to start doing it myself. Haven't run into any issues doing my own service, pretty straight forward. The only issue is getting parts because Epson won't sell me parts directly, I have to order thru a dealer.

I made my own profiles using ColorGate, rip should convert it over to the 9 colors after profile creation, thats what I see with ours. Never used Flexi so don't know how that one works for profiling but they should all be somewhat the same.

I can't buy Epson parts from Epson, very dumb, but Grimco lets me buy them thru them so I don't have much to complain about them.

How is the print quality in the middle? If the print quality is a little less the on the edges then there might be some smoot on the encoder trip. I've had that happen on mine. Try giving it a wipe with clean dry cloth. Might be all it needs.

It can be as simple as a short in the cable to knock out a part of the head, but that normally would affect more then one color. Could just be a faulty print head and it finally failed. One thing to do is make sure your machine is running off a UPS, so if theres a power surge, even a little one...

Not much you can do besides replacing the head. You can switch to 1 head mode and only print with head one. It'll be slower printing, but you'll be able to print until you decide to replace the head.

I run one maybe once a day, or when I see a print issue. After every job or stock change is really not needed unless you're skipping on maintenance.
