I've mainly used my printer for just about everything, but I needed to make some vinyl lettering for a project, so I grabbed a roll of Oracal 651 and discovered that the backing was basically welded to the vinyl. I tested a couple of other rolls and the same thing with those. I hated to trash...
Yeah, that's what I was afraid of, this danged machine is like a ball and chain. It's sad that with all the technology nobody has been able to figure out a simple way to keep these heads from drying out without wasting a ton of supplies and time.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone that has come across or invented a way to wet cap an ecosolvent print head to keep the nozzles from drying out during extended idle periods?
Seems to me like there must be something that can be applied to the head surface that would seal out air and...
I need to put this thread on hold. I was missing a few nozzles but all of a sudden I am missing a bunch of nozzles. I tried several Strong Cleanings and that seems to make it worse. I can see the wiper after each cleaning and there is hardly anything on it as though ink is not being drawn out of...
I use CMYK and my brightest red is using M=100 and Y=80, then I add K from 5 to 15 if I want darker reds, K=15 gives me a blood red. I attached pictures but I don't know if they show the difference very well. In person it's obvious. I'll follow up with screen shots of the settings first chance...
That's sad considering how expensive Flexi is. What are you using now?
What really makes me mad is how everything could be working real fine for years and then all of a sudden not. I found a media and color profile combination that produced excellent reds on all the vinyls I normally use, then...
Version 12.
Also I performed the test suggested by ColorCrest. Turning off all Color Management did nothing, Reds are still orange or brown. In retrospect i probably should have posted this issue in the Flexi section.
Missing a few but at 1440 res you can't really tell. Also, I should mention I can print out individual solid color bars of the 4 printer inks, and they look just fine. I believe the problem is with the software not the printer.
I must have screwed something up real bad in my color profiles or presets in Flexi because I can't print good reds anymore. I had this problem when I first bought this printer, in fact I was angry that such an expensive printer was not able to produce a vibrant red that I could get out of a...
Looks like the closest match is going to be Humanist 777 Std Condensed Light, specifically Humnst777_LtCn_BT_Light.ttf

Thank you
I believe the auto cleaning is On but it's tracking the amount of time in-use not not idle time. When I am using the printer I will notice in the middle of a job it will do a cleaning on rare occasion but I have never seen it go into a cleaning while just sitting there idling. Besides that, if I...
I hate to spend the money on flushing cartridges and the wasted ink to recharge it but that appears to be the wisest thing to do. The worst part is I had four flushing cartridges sitting on the shelf for years, but I happened to check them not long ago and the solvent ate right through the cases...
That's what I was afraid of. I was hoping I could discover something I could place in the cap that would rest against the head and keep it from drying out. In the past I have unclogged nozzles by cutting out pieces of microfiber cloth about the size of the inside diameter of the cap, soaking...
