Hi everyone, I have a z2100 that I use for indoor prints, and I read that another member has used it for some short term outdoor signage. I thought about printing a few signs and then coating them with some UV spray laminate, does anyone here have any experience with this, and does anyone know...

Cool, sorry it took so long to reply, I didn't see the page 2 marker. Sometime I wonder about myself. I repaired the nipple on the cyan pump and it seem to be making a pumping sound but I can't see anything go through it. Do I need to put some ink in the line before it? any suggestions?

Question, say the black head isn't printing good and say the lite cyan is, can I clean those heads and switch them out?

Why would Mutoh make the hose nipple out of flimsy plastic? a machine that cost as much as this one did when it was new should have had better crafsmanships that this... rant....rant......rant..... :banghead::banghead:

Greg, the cyan hose broke today at the pump and I broke the nipple trying to put it back on, hopefully I can find another one. If all Nipples was that fragile, I would have been in jail a long time ago. :cool: when I get that repaired, I will give you a call so you can help me get this bohemouth...

Sorry for the bad pics. hope this helps. While taking the pics, I found a hose loose on top of the solenoid. I connected it and now an re-priming everything.

That is correct Sir, I found several cracks in the black line and I replaced the filter by the jug that holds the ink and the round filter by the sub tank, "are there any other filters?". here are some pics.

Update, the panel says "Ready To Print" so we ran a nozzle check and the colors look ok, but the black has lines through it. I'm still working on the pics.

I will get you the pics asap. I traced the lines back to a cellanoid and replaced it and the pressure thing seems to be acting ok. now I keep getting the K 144 ink pump code. I was getting that code before on all of the colors and after a few restarts, they would prime and would start working...

there is a second hose going into the sub tank and when I pull it offf, it allows the ink to go into the tank, but the ink just runs out through the head. I unplugged the machine over night. I will plug it back in now and see what happens.

Yes Sir. When the pump tries to pump black ink into the sub tank, the sub tank has some kind off back pressure that won't allow in to go in. if I take the hose off of the top ofd the tank, air pressure releases.

My Toucan isn't a LT and I can't find a place anywhere on the heads where that damper could be. I figured out that this mutoh take Nova Spectra heads. I replaced two filters on the black line the one on the carriage was completely blocked and caused the line to burst.

What should I look for at the sub tank Sir? I am new to this industry.
