  1. S40600 No autoclean

Are any of your inks low?
  2. Review of the Roland LG-640

Ahhh yeah that makes sense haha. MG is running the same platform as the old VS solvent series (including Epson head) whereas the LG is Ricoh heads from memory.
  3. Review of the Roland LG-640

Are you sure? The LG series has 2 staggered heads.
  4. Review of the Roland LG-640

Heads are staggered, so the order that the heads are physically in determines whether you can print white over/under without the need to pullback the media. Having them in the wrong order means halving the print speed as it has to feed the media back for the second pass.
  5. Review of the Roland LG-640

Small update on our new machine - 4th day of having a tech here, Roland's tech came out to swap out the head for a new one. Exact same result as the previous head with orange missing completely and the same missing nozzles on the red channel. Roland tech also realised that the machine has been...
  6. Review of the Roland LG-640

Our installation has been...interesting to say the least. Tech's plugged in the machine and the internal power supply exploded. Took out our power circuit and had to get the electricians out to fix and inspect that there was no damage to cabling etc. Next day they've got the power supply...
  7. Review of the Roland LG-640

Wow....based on that if we print just over half a roll per week day our annual ink cost would be $61,000. Cleaning alone with no printing would be $22,000 a year. That's absolutely insane. We've got a unit on order currently, but we'll be having a very frank discussion in the new year with Roland.
  8. Review of the Roland LG-640

Just to confirm, are you saying the printer dumped 370ml into the waste ink bottle in a 26 hour period? Was that amount measured from the drain bottle or calculated from the drain fill % on the display?
  9. ROLAND UV PRIMER ADVICE PLEASE URGENT

Roland had a decal option listed for the previous generation of UV printers, but it was never widely released. The concept behind it was to print an adhesive layer through the head so you could do UV DTF transfers with the machine. Apparently they couldn't could things working perfectly and...
  10. s80600 owners, leave your machine on or off when not using?

We have the same issue on our S80600, the high rpm fans keep spinning even in sleep mode.
  11. Need Help Cutting Master 4 - "Duplicated, Convert to Curves, Delete"

In the end I rolled back our CM4 install to the previous version and it fixed our issue.
  12. Importing Vinyl From China

Maybe the higher end materials, but there's loads of Arlon manufactured in China.
  13. Will an Epson S80600 fit through a standard interior door width?

We fit ours through a door that was 31" with no trouble. IIRC there's a section in the manual about how to prep the printer for narrow doors. The heater unit on the front can be loosened and swung down to give clearance. Combining that with removing the front and rear media holders meant it...
  14. Need Help Cutting Master 4 - "Duplicated, Convert to Curves, Delete"

Fresh installation of CorelDraw 2020 + Cutting Master 4 (Ver. 4.4) on our new production computer and I'm getting some strange behaviour when we launch the registration mark plugin. It's going through every object in the file and doing a "duplicated, covert to curves, delete". Not just on the...
  15. Looking for a cheap laminator just to mount film on rigid board

Those Qomolangma laminators punch above their weight for the price.
  16. Question New Epson S80600 & Summa Cutter Performance

You should be hitting 12m^2/h comfortably in 8 Pass mode. Check your rip settings for inter-pass delay etc. Is your network gigabit?
  17. Advice for new Setup (Epson SC-S80600 or Roland TrueVis)

S80600 100%. Nothing else in that price range comes close on build quality, features and print quality. We've had ours for 2 years and can barely fault it.
  18. Roll to roll UV printer?

We had one of these on our short list but no white ink was a deal breaker.
