  6. Need Help HELP: Roland sold me a defective printer and I lost $750,000

Many people don't know how to operator their equipment. I've seen and purchased some awful printers that people destroyed and then they blame the manufacturer when it's their own fault. Roland is an industry standard, their equipment is top notch work horses. I would not blame them for the...
  7. Lighted sign...I think I can do this?

Only use Polycarbonate, not acrylic. Acrylic will fade. For the vinyl you must use translucent vinyl. Yes if it's a standard cabinet, remove a retainer and slide out. The sign face must be about 3/8" shorter than the cabinet to fit. I recommend measuring the old sign face first.

  11. Question First Eco Solvent printer

You can't go wrong with Roland. I've been in the industry for 12 years and have only used Roland's they are work horses. You don't need laminate for short turn or coroplast signs. But for aluminum, vehicles, etc you need it. I recommend a SEAL cold laminator EL54. Roland's do self cleaning so...
  12. Installing signs without a permit

You aren't a real sign guy, so that says it all.
  13. Installing signs without a permit

It's not worth the risk. When unlicensed sign companies or those who don't get a permit, just turn them in for it. You are representing the customer's best interests. Those companies who illegally install signs are usually cutting corners and it's a risk to the client. Also if you are losing out...
  14. Installing signs without a permit

All depends on the state and area. But generally fines, strike on your license and make you take down the sign.
  15. Just In My new bucket truck

By the way the dealer told me that all bucket trucks require a USDOT number. I looked it up and apparently it's only needed for crossing state lines (doing business in other states).

It was made with a welder holder and welding leads on it, but we don't do welding in house, we have a guy who works alone that comes and does it for us as needed.
  19. Just In My new bucket truck

I am afraid to look at the insurance side of it. But I have a special insurance company that works with sign companies so I never have an issue. So yes it doesn't matter.
  20. Just In My new bucket truck

Yes it's only 25,999 lbs and it lifts 5,900 lbs
