Vs machine have some problems with the recirculation system. When you start to miss some nozzles at begin you don't need to start a powerful cleaning but is better to try an ink renewal by the sub menu. In that way you will force a recirculation removing air in the secondary tubes used for...
Anyway the solenoid is under the headlock on the right side of the machine. You can try to put something as wd40 in the solenoid cylinder. It should work
You are right Paintdoctor. But he can't pull ink through the capping without open the valves ... just follow the procedure as Neil says in the other post. then pull ink
170 is about headlock. Nothing to do with firmware. Anyway maybe I have the 2.0 and its good for you. For sure I have the 3.5 but careful if you don't use genuine print head. I'll check tomorrow on my office drive .
You need a new pump assy(maintenance station). Probably the gears that move out the whiper carriage are consumed.
Anyway if you printer is old.. you better check the printhead carriage bearings. Sometimes when the bearings are consumed the carriage slide 1/2mm down rubbing harder on the wiper.
Look like it's you motherboard. Check for some fuse .. but probably you made a shortcut and burned out a transistor. They are in the motherboard close to the aluminium heatsink
To be sure just put the print heads in the position where you see the lines.. set the origin there and do a test print. So if you get an abnormal test print in that position probably it is your encoder strip
Ok. Then try to disconnect all the print heads and see if something come on the display. Be careful and do that with your printer disconnected from the ac power
