I have not had luck with Flexi and there profiles, so I use Flexi to add marks, then send to Versaworks, then let Roland versaworks use their icc profiles. I Print with marks on a Roland and then cut with a Summa, but its the same process.

Ive been running what is now TruNas for artwork storage for 11 yrs and yes I had to swap out a few drives here and there, but with the correct redundancy set up in the drives, I plug and play another drive, and pick back up where I left off without issue.

As a work around, you can export them as a pdf in a file location then use Versaworks to open the file. If I use the Blue "Send to Versaworks" button in Flexi, sometimes I get corrupt files.

I hate to bring back an old thread but.... Flexi is going up on prices, (email just came out) and I still have crashing issues with Flexi 24.

I have installed and removed brick vinyl. Usually all you need is a torch to warm up the vinyl and it lifts off pretty easy.

Have ypu tried to run Flexi to your new S3? Eliminate if the issue is Onyx or the plotter. I'm not familiar with Onyx to know if it's capable of doing what Flexi does. I'm following as I'm looking for an alternative to Flexi myself.

I could not agree more. I screamed at Serif for months just to add dxf support. I thought we were getting somewhere then.... now this feels like a gut punch. Odds of getting a Summa or any other plug in looks to be out of the question now.

Sorry, UV wont work. My customer isnt interested in UV as you can NOT UV print some of the vinyl material qualities. That is why in my original post, I mentioned it is a mix of printed and die cut as some things printers cant do yet. Screen Printing has the same issue. Let me know if you can...

I dont do screen printing. When I contacted a friend who does, he said way too many colors shadows and gradients for screen printing.

I have to do a bunch of vehicle tags with cut vinyl and was looking for suggestions to seal up the vinyl . They are metal tag blanks with a mix of print/cut and die cut vinyl. I was considering either a liquid laminate or possibly a polyurethane to seal up the tag. Any suggestions appreciated. TIA
