  1. The Flex cable on the Roland Versacamm SP 540v

Hi Team - me again.... printer is printing beautifully - however I am noticing when the printhead takes off across the width the flex cable doesn't flow off nicely with it... it makes a funny sound and I had a look at the printhead running and the cable doesn't get a smooth run off at the start...

  3. The Flex cable on the Roland Versacamm SP 540v

Hi all. I have changed the flex cable and put printer back together. I did a limit initialization as it came up on the service menu. However I was thinking I would need to do a encoder check on that service menu but I can't get past the 'limit initialization' when the service menu opens. I...

Is it possible to put the first 300 mm of both the flexi cable and the white cable in a sleeve together for the first maybe 300 mm (or less) from the cutter head attachment along so that the bottom flexicable does not bunch up? Yes I did put all the rivets in the same place. Thank you...
  7. The Flex cable on the Roland Versacamm SP 540v

It is very difficult to find the parts. I have 3 cables that have been sent that aren't even the width of what I ordered :)
  8. The Flex cable on the Roland Versacamm SP 540v

The cable from the printer/cutter head to the Main Board has been replaced because the cable got caught when the printerhead was going back and forth while printing. I managed to find parts from America, Indonesia and Germany and replaced the cable with new flex cable covers. The printer has...

  11. Question ROLAND VERSACAMM SP 540v - replaced encoder strip.

The plastic guides on either side of the cable kinked while doing the test print - I think I have made them soft :( maybe from the IPA and they aren't staying together. Oh my encoder strip is all good it is the flexi cable above the encoder.

  13. Question ROLAND VERSACAMM SP 540v - replaced encoder strip.

Hi everyone. I have just replaced the encoder strip and thought I would clean my printer while it was apart. I cleaned the length of the cable that is attached to the print head that goes back and forth while printing. I have put everything back together again and done a test print. The...
