One thing to be aware of with static cling is that you should leave some unprinted white space around the edge of the decal as ink significantly reduces how well the cling adheres to glass etc.

Have you tried resetting your workspace? (Hold F8 when Corel is loading) or as a workaround convert it to curves, will have a look at this after the weekend and see how big I can't set a font size to.

Looking at images you provided I would say it's a feed calibration issue. It's currently set to +0.15, try changing it to -0.5 and see if that helps? Also don't forget to agitate your ink cartridges regularly.
