12 foot by 4 foot sign.. How?

Im making a 4 ft by 12 ft sign for a beauty salon. I am planning on using 1/2 in. Gator board but I will have a seam which I hate. The owner is going to put the sign on a board to hang in the salon. I wonder if there is a better way to do this somehow without a seam. Or maybe I could get material devilerved that is already that big. Any thoughts?

make the whole thing cheaper and lighter and sturdier than poly metal, put heavy duty picture hangers on back or french cleats would be my choice
