2D cnc routing & engraving

Hi,
who ever might be interested.
Has any one got a Roland EGX-300 and uses it to do 2D jobs.
Mainly I would like to use the machine to produce 2D Brass letterpress blocks for Hotfoil printing. Usually these are small motives and line graphics with some detail.

Are there any simple reliable softwares that one can use?
