I'm ALL for integrating newer bleeding edge tech. But one could probably layout, proof, setup, cut, sand, prime, paint, install and invoice a biblical paragraph in the time it takes to print a set of letters using a 3D print method.
Unless there is some new happenings with resolution, print speeds, plastics/resins , I think 3d printing signs would only be feasible as a hobby project or proof of concept.
But I'm all ears and eyes. I would love to see more of what you are doing AutoX3D.
the guy says "I later got into 3D printing and build printers..." in a different post - so he could be on to something? or maybe he's making really tiny sings?
I make a lot of signs, 60+ hours per week at least.
I make 3D Printers also, and we do a decent amount of 3d prototyping.
I have yet to have a need for anything for a sign to be 3d printed, but I could see possibly doing some trophies if you were in that market. otherwise, a router will run rings around a 3d printer.
