3m 220 scotchcal question

I have a customer who wants a vinyl to put on machinery that can withstand 200 degree temperatures. They sent me pics of the machinery and it really does not make sense as where the graphics go are on the outside of the units...Cant think the outside of the machine would get that hot as it would be a safety concern, but was thinking that a 2ml cast vinyl sits on vehicles in direct summer sun and has to be hotter than 200 degrees F in many cases?
your thoughts?

I can give you an anecdotal reply.

We have a label customer who manufactures a line of equipment that gets into those temperature ranges inside. Many of the labels are mounted internally. We did all their work on Gerber/3m 220 and on the Gerber supplied 3M Imagecast clear film. At one point the customer decided to try someone else to save some money. They later returned because our labels stayed put while the labels of whomever they tried did not.
