3M Di-Noc Whiteboard

I have a project calling out for this material. It is a white dry erasable material. It seems 3M vinyl dealers don't carry it and can't get it. A 3M rep referred me to Designtex, and they are the only US distributor. They quoted over $14/sf, no discount for whole rolls. I found a source online, I'm just not comfortable buying from an unknown online source. I need about 170ft of 48" wide material. Anyone know of any other sources? Or know of an equivalent product?

I don't know what brands are available there but I have used Neosign and Avery
Couple of other brands .. ImagePerfect, Aslan.

Player - I did see that source. It is still about $7k of material. I'm not comfortable spending that kind of money with someone I don't know anything about.

Yes, you are right, but $8.99 x 170 ft = $1,528.30 for shipping. Ouch. I found their direct website, maybe I'll just try calling to see if I can get better pricing.

We are a 3M authorized company up in Canada and Di-Noc isn't even cheap for us. I think we even pay about $10+/sqft even at ordering a full roll. We rarely use it unless it is a spec'd material and the company won't budge. We just give them the price... sometimes they accept it and sometimes they don't. We give them an alternative to the Di-Noc and most of the time they go for it.

In your case I would try and turn them away from the Di-Noc if you could, depending on the application 3M has materials that will adhere to almost any surface and can laminate it with a dry erase material.

Hope this helps.

This is part of a large project we are doing. The architect is spec'ing Di-Noc, but I will be offering an alternative (probably a good cast vinyl with dry erase lam). I think once they see the price difference, it will be a no-brainer for them. I just wanted to have my ducks in a row if they were firm on Di-Noc. Thanks a lot for your help guys!

If an acrhitect firm is spec'ing di-noc. Quote Di-Noc. The stuff isn't cheap. Use the right material - stop searching around for a cheap alternative. Just charge your customer.

I don't get it.
