Hey, I am looking for a lead to a nice looking vector design of a 4X4 mud tire for a logo i'm doing. I can't find any the way i need it. It needs to be pretty much a head on look from the side beings i am doing some text around the tire where the tire brand would be.

Thanks for any help guys!

I'm thinking it ain't a logo if you use clipart. Start with one of Rick's circles-o and add a bigger O around it, draw on some meaty treads and voila, instant hit at the next mud run.

I believe there is alot of designers who use purchased clip art and such. It's still a logo....

Thanks Dave, I replied!

Not sure what your drawing skill level is but this would be a pretty easy "draw-step-repeat-radial copy" drawing exercise.
Just get a good side profile shot of a mud tire you like off the web to use as a guide.

Sure it's a logo, but how would you customer feel if their "logo" suddenly appeared on their competitors newspaper ad. They get all huffy and puffy, want to know what the deal is...only to find that their tire can be easily purchase by anyone for a whopping $4.95.

I used to use clipart in logos, let's just say I found out the hard way. I now believe it to be a branding taboo

Imagine for a moment that Nike's swoosh designer used clipart instead of creating it. There would be no copyright owned by Nike and it could not be ®.
I'm just suggesting taking 5 mins of your time to create your own work verses 10 mins of trying to find what you need.
