4x4' rent signs

Hey guys, Just was curious where you all would be at for something like this.

1 4x4' OFFICE FOR RENT sign on 3mm polymetal (acm), single sided 1 color cut vinyl with about 75% coverage. As basic as they come on design. I don't use the actual brand dibond.

then a price for 2 4x4'

I'm at $264 for 1 and then $192 each for 2.

Have a new customer wanting a quote and his words were "I'll be honest, I'm trying to save a buck and i know your going to charge me for the scrap since you buy your materials in 4x8' sheets" lol So i figured i would give him a price for 1 and 2 signs.

Why?
I don't do bulk discounts on such a small job.
I rarely do them on big jobs.
So at the start, you are letting your customer dictate your price to you.
I actually think faux dibond is a bit of overkill for this type of sign.
Your price seems more like for coro.

You think to much, you want the job, give him a deal, instead of flyers etc word of mouth is great. Oh, you will get the people telling you once they know your cheap it will hurt you. Well it seems to have worked for the Japanese Car people, Dollar Stores and also WalMart. Or you could work at signs part time and have a full time Deli job.

Material cost per 4x4 sign (metal, vinyl, tape).....$55

Sign 1.....$55 plus one hour labor = $120. Profit - $144

Sign 2.....$110 plus 1-1/2 hour labor = $200 Profit - $184

I think you're offering too large a discount on the second sign. You could offer him 10 mil coro but that's really not going to save him a whole lot.

For the type of sign and design you describe the price for the single would work, as long as the amount of weeding is minimal to do.

agree with Pat, the discount is too much for 2 signs.


wouldn't offer coro, the prices for ACP sheets are such these days why bother with thicker coro

25% is too big a discount for the 2nd. Maybe a 4+ price if you think it could go that direction.

I think....wait you can't handle what I think of you.

Everyone else, Thanks for the feedback. Reason 2 is so cheap is I charge more psf on the sign board if I'm using part of a 4x8. With 2, I'm using the entire sheet.

haha you must care somewhat because you troll in every price thread i make and have something negative to say.

Now continue to ruin my thread with no replies that contribute to helping or private message me.

Oh and i see you sell promo products....can i get 250 EVA Foam Three Arm Flyer's, I've been looking for a vendor for years!!! OMG! lol

No I read all threads, and get tired of you constantly asking for pricing help! It has been explained to you for several years and you just don't seem to grasp it! I only offer Promotional products because my customers want them along with the signs I make them!

If you would do s search I have only asked about a handful of times on pricing, since I started my business in 2006! I figured it out without constantly needing the people on this forum to tell me what they would charge!

Ok then, revoking my premium membership from Fred today. Yes, I know this is in the open section....I feel it gets more responses as I'm bidding Monday. Way to go, Fred just lost money thanks to asses like yourself who always have something to say.

$192 for each sign if bought in a pair, meaning $192 x 2 signs = $384

I have very thick skin i would think but i just don't see saying negative comments to someone because they post pricing threads. It's always good to double check yourself incase you are missing something for a particular project. I know exactly what each job will cost me with materials and labor but i just wanted to see what others would be at so i can make sure my markups for said project is enough or too much. We all know different materials get marked up more/less than others depending on what they are.

Maybe i care too much but I'll no longer use this forum as a resource with the way people get treated on here. I have met many great sign people on here and have also been told a handful of times that this place is not a good resource for reasons exactly like i am speaking of. Nobody will miss me and i don't want anyone to, Those who matter know how to get in touch with me. People like signage especially being a merchant member like he is are just asses and will not get any business from me (like he would want it anyway) if he was the last vendor on earth for what he wholesales. Karma is a b*tch huh?

Your costing the forum money, Wonder how much the forum has lost due to people like yourself? You should be proud if that was your intention. Coming from a merchant member, You sure are wanting my business if i was in need of any DTG or edge work. :ROFLMAO:
