500 2" x 12" decals going in the garbage

Not that theres anything wrong with the print, except my Mimkai forgot to put the registration marks at the top end, so basically they are useless.

I have had this issue happening with this new matte material I have been buying from Proverr. I know it is an Avery product and somehow it fools my printer when it reads the 2 edges, but it prints so nice...

I threw in the roll again to reprint them and I watched and sure enough it goes to the top and very quickly it moves down to about the 48" area and thinks that's where the edge is.

I made it do it again and this time I used my little blue led light and it found the edge. Clocked in at 53". OK I set my Flexi program manager to 52.5" and set the decals up.

Start the run and it does not print the registration marks at the top again. Thats just plain insane. To get it to print, I had to instruct the program manager that I have 50" material, even though the Mimaki sees 53".

That makes no sense to me.

it does it to us too, even though it recognizes 53" material, not that material, any material we use

if we setup a file ourselves and not use the rip to set it up, we make sure we only go 49" wide otherwise it won;t print the registration marks, i guess it has something to do with a couple inches on either side as space for the marks, but it just baffles me sometimes

I can't believe you can't put registration marks on manually with a pair of engineering scales and a fine point sharpie.

You can use aball point pen to add the marks to

You can go back to design software. Change all graphics to white with hair line around all design....so it want print anything excluded registration marks. Rip again.
It will works only if you didn't remove print from your machine.
When cutting come back to first ripped file.
