720 x 1440 or a double hit at 720 x 720?

I have a customer who needs an image printed on clear. He wants a higher concentration of colour for this one particular panel. Which way would you go with it? double hit or higher resolution? What you think?

Does your printer have a "return to origin after print" option? I have foud I get better results doing this rather than overprinting 2 times.
