Were you able to determine the cause? How old was it? Was it used constantly? Were there any signs of any issues before a catastrophic failure? Was there a filter on the intake? Thanks.

Kick down malfunctioned so machine just ran over the weekend until the pressure in the tank found a weak rusty spot and burst. Thing jumped up, threw pieces and rolled down the wall leaving orange strips every 3 or so feet as it rolled on the wall. Found wheels at other end of warehouse. It was an old 5 gallon compressor. Compressors only get plugged in while in use ever since.
