Did you get any kind of software with your prism jet? When I use to use my Roland with Flexi-pro, it sometimes use to stop during prints at 80 to 95% then I loaded colour choice that came with the roland printer never had that happen again. Maybe try the software that came with your printer

I've had my PrismJet with Flexi for 2½ yrs. It's happened to me twice. Still
don't know why.

discovered i had a network conflict .I sent a job to my epson 4000 during buffering

Had the same thing many times...voltage set to low on the servo motor.
