85' x 30' Wall sign ... ideas?

We have a client looking to get signage approx 85'x30' the most affordable way possible. It has to be a permanent sign so banner is out. Single sign but can be assembled in sections.

What are the options? I was thinking a sheet metal face around an aluminum channel frame with vinyl applied as the print? Has anyone on the board done anything like this?

The largest one I ever did personally was.....28' X 125' hand painted. Took almost three days.

What's the copy..... any pictures...... or intricate stuff ??

Here is a link to a 7' x 125' sign I made using 30 (7't x 4'w) Econolite panels, "H" channel mirror molding (for seams), and cut vinyl.

Mounted 1" square aluminum tube frame (3 horizontal rows)

If I were to do this again I would do it the same way. In your case I would have to re-think it, but would likely do it using...

qty of 8.5, 5' x 10' sheets of econo (studded together), stacked 6 high, seaming it horizontally using 20' lengths of the mirror molding.

Yeah, we quoted it high and they were very surprised. The concept has photos and copy/design. The building has a historical value so they are not really keen on painting.

It will probably get scaled back considerably if they do it at all.
