A good way to get a customer to call is:

Jill you jinx...as soon as I pulled my lunch out of the microwave a customer called!

I also find that being two weeks late on an install is sure to get a customer to call!

The best part is when you are in the middle of something like a long cut job or something that you need to babysit and someone calls, (or in my case always stops in) and they want to sell you something. Ticks me off to no end...cause every time when I get back, I'm throwing something away that went way wrong.

do you know of this first hand? lighting a car on fire that is.

no, a buddy of mine just did it to a vehicle that had a crap-load of leaves stuck under the fenderwell. The story he told me was cringe-worthy.

no major damage and the customer was pleased with the discount on the wrap.

but customers call at the damnedest of times.
