UV Ink printing on reflective media for outdoor use. We are unable to laminate the panels and wonder about spraying a clear lacquer or urethane (with uv properties) over the signs. Is there a reliable product to use that will work outdoors? We have all types of spray equipment so looking for recommendations. thank you!

I've used frog juice, but was never particularly fond of it. When putting it on light backgrounds, it would almost always burn the background and light colors. When they made it for UV printing, it' might've gotten better, but I've been using clear shield for a very long time for lotsa different things and never went back. I knew Butch and we discussed it both in person and through e-mails over the years. He knew it burned the paint. His own recipe.

We sell Clearshield locally and our customers are quite satisfied.

Was not aware i was breaking protocol. Will test the waters a little longer to see if I fell warm and fuzzy before I dive into the deep end. In the meantime I will not promote anything and that was not my intention. I have recommended several products in other threads that I do not sell, but have previous experience with that fit the bill.

Clear shield

Yup clear shield.
Great stuff. Been using it for years. I like the the matte finish. I call it magic juice.
It's great for covering imperfections.
Got a paint job that's not perfect. Roll on some clear shield and your good to go.
It's pricey but worth it.

You would have to test it with your inks. I have cleared over Solvent and resin foil fine but We dont run UV. The clear we use is a solvent borne urethane with a hardner.
The OP is using UV inks and most likely needs a compatible clear coat. Some solvent based products may rewet the UV coating or not adhere. Excellent point regarding, test prior to production.

Whenever combining two separate parts of a project, if you put one or two dry coats down first, you can then go over it til your heart's content as heavy as you like. Those dry coats will set up quickly, but still let them cure an hour or so before pounding it with full blown coats of anything.
