I have been banking at a very small Bank for 10 years now. I got sick and tired of the corporate banking world and went to the small hometown branch and loved it. I did work for the small bank and got the notice they were being bought out.......OMG NOOOO!!!! Everything has been fine, there were a few changes but the larger one still uses me for a good bit of work.

I turned in an invoice monday of this week to the local bank which they forward to corporate to be paid. Corporate denied the payment in an email that was forwarded back to me along with a scanned check that was cut 3 months prior for the exact same ammount (it was a coincidence) After recieving this email I started to get mad as hell and then just could not belive the f'ingin ignorance of someone in accts payable of a large corporation.

I went back to email and emailed the corp chick and said some things I maybe shouldnt have but dear God I mean really. Has the whole freaking world went stupid? Do people not hire qualified andidates anymore. I hope this biotch don't do payroll, cause she wont pay someone cause last month they got paid the same amount!

Around here, if you are lucky to get a true job hire it's more about who you know and not so much what you know.

Based on what is going on around here, I would imagine that it is very likely that she is a temp. At Alicia's old job, they took to "hiring" (and "firing") temps and that severely hindered their ability to perform correctly. Plus they didn't train them worth squat. Couldn't really with their new model, turn over was too quick.

I firmly believe that the training-schooling of these people includes multiple courses on payment avoidance...

They must have to go back each year to learn new tricks, cuz they always find another stupid way to keep your money just a bit longer.

True Story:
Wife's friend(Sharon) did payroll and accounting for a machine shop for over 7 years. Got regular raises and excellent reviews.
Machine shop hires "business" consultant at $3600 per week.
Consultant said: Sharon has to go. She doesn't have a 4 year degree.
Sharon gets walked out.
Shop hires girl with 4 year degree.
When she shows up the first day she has her dog...in her purse.
Accounting and payroll are a shambles.
Boss calls Sharon. He wants her back.
Sharon says: Get bent. I found a job that pays more and is close to home. Click.

Something similar happened to my aunt. Problem with valuing education versus experience too much.
