Acrylic Dimensional Letter - Removal

Hey Guys/Gals

Anybody have suggestion on how to remove acrylic letters from a wall(paint/drywall)? They have been double faced taped on. Figured I would just heat them up and use a putty knife. The paint is thinner stuff not thicker foam. I advised the client they would most likely have to repaint.

Has anyone done this before?

Thanks is advance

What type of double tape? foam or regular VHB?

use a piano wire or a diamond wire side the wire between the sign and the wall then saw through the tape.

In the end the wall will have to be repaired regardless

Regular VHB, I'll try the piano wire deal. I like it.

Thanks

fishing wire, dental floss. take an assortment of putty knives and wedges so that as you seperate them you can place wedges and such under to keeep them from resticking...easy as can be.
