Activity pos alternative?

I purchased and have installed now about 9 licensed versions of Activity POS on my computers. When I started my business 18 years ago, this was the software that came with Fast Signs Franchises. I wanted something industry specific that could help me consistantly price products. To date, it has served me well; however, lately, I am having a huge problem with retrieving customer history and it tends to lock up more frequently. Terri Miller is very helpful but now with almost 100,000 invoices, we are at a point of "deleting" history just to make it work.

The question is...is there an alternate sign pricing program available that you can transfer data/history from...or am I just screwed?:banghead:

Making America great, one sign at a time.
fastsigns POS

is a pain in ***.
for that kind of money, i am shocked you have a memory/ file issue.
that being said, congrats on hitting 100,000 slips!

1. why are you hoarding that many? do you really need to look at every single slip? i would just print out final invoices that are very dated or, out of business.
box that up and delete it from the master file what you boxed up....

2. you could back up the file now, delete 50,000 slips from your new file and have one computer that runs the old file, which, has all of them...

3.switching over to a new POS would cost more money in training all those stations than what i suggested. not to mention what a PIA that is...

Good luck!

We are able to help out. We have several activity users that have switched to signVOX. We are able to take your existing Activity POS and map over customers, their invoice history and possibly pricing (depends on how you are using Activity in that scenario)

Feel free to give me a call to discuss options and what is involved and perhaps take a webinar to show you how signVOX works.

Oh and you can have 10 con-current users for the entry price of signVOX and it includes support and training.

Thanks...I don't know that I am "hoarding them"...it is just not user manipulative (where I can go and delete them forever)...but essentially, that is now what The Millers are trying to do for us. I just got 6 new computers (to get rid of windows XP) all with dual monitors (I love the dual monitors) and a new server...but I think things got worse than better with Activity POS Grr
