Need Help ADA print not adhering to Formica solution?

We have a Direct Color Systems 1800BG printer. Trying to ADA print on Formica. Has anyone had success doing this? We cleaned the surface with acetone, and applied adhesion promoter. The results have been mixed. I would like to know any tips or ticks to make this work.

I think formica has some pretty heavy duty non stick properties to it, I wouldn't be surprised if you can't get ink to stick to it.

If you can't find a fix, you could try scanning and printing the Formica pattern as well on non-glare.
