Adding a gradient fill to an odd shape...In Corel

I am working on a layout, for a rear window of a truck, so it is tall and thin, but not a true rectangle. The top is narrower than the bottom, and the top arc's slightly. So is there a way to add a gradient fill to the background, and make it uniform all the way around?

I am currently using Corel X5.

You can also try using the blend tool to do this...
