Adobe Upgrade - Something seems fishy

So we had CS3 Creative Suite Design Standard installed on two computers as allowed by the license. They are legit and were properly activated.

I bought some new computers and the CS5.5 Creative Suite Design Standard upgrade.

Both "old" computers with CS3 got pushed down the line to less demanding jobs(opening and pushing files to the plotter).

I installed CS5.5 on the new computers but I got a little too ambitious and accidentally put it on three computers instead of only the two that are allowed by the license. But I didn't realize that this had happened so when I got the message that I needed to deactivate it on a computer, I assumed that it meant my OLD computers. So I went and deactivated them. When I tried to activate on the new computer, it still wouldn't let me.

That's when I did some checking and realized my mistake. I deactivated one of the new computer installs and then I was able to activate CS5.5 on the correct computer.

Now for the fishy part. After all of this was complete, I was able to reactivate the CS3 version on the old computer with no problem.

It seems that I essentially have two full versions of Creative Suite Design standard with two unique serial numbers. One CS3 version and one CS5.5 version.

Is that correct?
