Advice - Which one?

I have this project to sub out for screen print. It is for a local youth church group. The guy at the group gave me a bunch of variations on this design. He is set on the black outline. I have said the plain white will not only cost less but also be more readable. The design is not up for discussion as it is all theirs but these are the two choices on colors.

Any opinions? Plain White or White & Black

The shirt is an Gildan - Antique Royal

Black and white looks a little better to me.
but I hear ya on cost n all.

Black looks good on a monitor but will it look as good on a print? The whole blue on black contrast issue. I looked at the shirts and they almost look to have a black tinge to them to begin with. Not a real bright blue by any means.

Buy a heat press, find a heat transfer supplier and do them yourself.

You'll make more money and the final step in the process will be done in house.

I have a heat press but am doing this as a favor. They are for my wife's group and I help them out each year. There are about 400 to do. I'm going to do as little as possible on this but arranging for it to be completed.

Get the heatpress and do it in Flock material (fuzzy) and they will love you for life....

Cut it yourself on the plotter. Kids and adults love this stuff and it holds up well.

It has a felt feeling to it .. People go InSaNe!

Some of these are mixed flock and metallics, twill, vinyl.

Thank You,
and sorry I didn't mention it earlier. As soon as I saw sub it out I was thinking the order was in the thousands but, as I read again church group, you got this. I've heatpressed shirts up into the high hundreds with out problems.

Hit me with any questions if you have them.

edit; Ha ha some church groups have actually given me the largest orders.. thinking about it.
wish I subbed them out doing them but, when they were done , happy I did em.

Wow, are you really recommending that he cut and weed and then press 400 shirts?

I'm old and have been doing this for longer than I care to admit
But even when I was a young whippersnapper, cutting and weeding 400 of anything wasn't a bunch of fun

My vote is to sub it out
Plastisol transfers may be fairly cheap but you're still going to be spending time (aka $$$) in front of the heat press

My vote is to sub it out

Is it 400 or 40 or 1400???

If it is 400 or 1400 sub it out to me than and I'll put 2,000.00 in my pocket for a days work no problem. Thanks bye bye.

Tshirts $2 flock .50 2 color $1 or $2 let's say $4. =$8,400. A day or two work whatever that's worth to you ???
1400 x 12 =$16,800 $ 12 special signs101 price. He sells for $16 = $5,600 in his pocket for relaying the message to a new friend.

Probably not fun. But payday is fun as a motherfreaker. I could probably get lower than $12 and he could lower his end.

So yes I am suggesting do work. Get paid. If he did that all bye himself = $14,000.00 well deserved profit. Even if that took a week for a noobie $2,000.00 a day.

Think larger.

Your not spending time in front of a heat press your making money in front of a heat press.

1400 should take a day or 2. Max.
And if the order is only 40. He busts it out and sets up a system ready for 1400 no problem.

Guys I don't think he's asking about whether to sub them out or do it themselves.

Black and white looks better in my opinion!

Yes I was not asking about the how to do it. Not sure how this evolved into a discussion on how much $$ make. I was just asking opinion on the design.

I am doing it for my wife's group and it is at cost/no profit. 400 shirts. As little time into this as possible is the goal.

I personally like the black and white but the regular white works too. What a tuffy!

Also, I like to work smarter and not harder. A 1-2 man operation typically has other jobs (i hope) to do instead of focusing on one. Sub it out.
