I have spent the most beautiful weekend in the bush with my wife and little boy.

One member on this forum is a legend in Africa and while trekking we saw his name written on the track.

Guess who? Get it right and I will post the pic

Just a quick thought (i actually typed quickbooks), living in LA is just not easy. How about living in Africa. Won't that be awesome? I also heard that south Africa is one of the worst places that you can live. No offense but friend's friend who has factory in s. africa. Their kids take helicopter to school so there is no possibility of kidnap. Living in the wild. How awesome that is. Maybe it all depends where in africa.

I have a family friend who is in Cape Town. He loves it there. I believe he has been there for over 12 years now. His daughter was born there and they have dual citizenship for her.

Always wanted to visit him over there but never had the chance or extra money to do so. He is supposed to be moving back to the states in December I believe so my opportunity is slipping away.

Hey Fatboy, where are you at in SA. Maybe I can figure a way to right it off as a business expense. The tax lady would love that one.

wow, how cool it must be to have those kinds of critters running around. I some times forget that we are from all over the planet and it is fun to see what some one else's view of their "neighborhood". a fun thread would be to post a pix of what you see near you as we all come from unique places with different views outside.

Knows several ppl in S.A. they all seem to enjoy living there, except the political gaming.

The one thing they all agree on it is one beautiful place and all love the outdoors in the bush animals and all.

South Africa is a wonderful place. Yes there is crime, sometimes violent. The political situation is very stable with free and fair elections. Corruption is high, very high.
Our government is going all out to fight it but it is hard with an unemployment rate of nearly 40 %.

I am a white,Afrikaans speaking South African. The older generation white Africans did horrific things to the black South Africans.Today we pay for it in reputation. There is still big time racial distrust.

But we are safe, business is good and we have Africa. I love this place.
