UV ink has the shortest shelf life of most inks. 1 year from manufacture is usually all you get. I have had customers use year expired solvent ink but the UV ink isn't so forgiving.

Yes! I run a HP Scitex FB500 and had their techs tell me that even close to expiration date, there can be issues. And to be honest, the last few batches of fresh ink I've gotten, a tech told me had "subpar performance issues". I manually shake each box at least once a week now. But once it expired, it's replaced. Fortunately our volume hasn't made that too much of an issue, except with white.

Thats what I thought, there is no issues, only what techs tell you.
I'm a tech and I've came across some issues on expired inks. 1 year for color and 6 months for white. When using a main tank to pour a liter, don't mix expired ink to new batch. I always place a sticky note on the main tank of the ink's expiration date to avoid contamination.
