all of a sudden I can't download anything off the net?

I have a file sent to me from "sendthis file" and each time I click on the download it tells me that this operation is not permitted and I need to change it with the system administrator (windows 7 pro) . This is new and I have not made any changes yet I have downloaded these files before. How do I get in to make the change and where do I do it?

What program is telling you this? maybe try a different browser...

OK I will but why is it doing this now, when 3 weeks ago i could download a file? I am the administrator and went into the settings but I am not sure exactly what restriction causes this?

Have you set Windows to do automatic updates? Sometimes updates can change settings on you...

Its best to have Windows notify you of updates and ask permission to go ahead with them. That way, if a problem starts occurring after an update, you have a good start on troubleshooting it...
