we only have 21 employees so it's just easier to have acompany shutdown for a week
(we shut down 4th of july week and x-mas/new years with extra days for the holidays...it's the law) works out ok

I'm doing the same...I think the secretary is coming in a couple days next week for a few hours, but I'm skipping town. About every customer I had this week said "I won't be in next week" so it works out good. It's about like the week between Christmas and New Years around here...just dead.

I don't run any of the machines, but I'll still do the digital work even on what passes for vacation around here.

I rarely have the luxury of truly being off for vacation or even the weekend, just my response time may not be as quick as it is during the regular work week.
