aluminum yard signs

this is an unusual request from a customer. They want yard signs like real estate agents. The customer is a landscaper. They want the metal sign holder and then the aluminum sign to slide into the metal sign holder. and they want 20 of them. has anyone had a request for those before? It's new for me but I learn something new every day.

I can do them, but for 20 I wanted to see if I can outsource it and get better pricing..

TIA

You use .040 aluminum sheeting. We flatbed print them both sides, then cut them. Takes 35 minutes for both sides and then cut them on the fletcher is about another 5 minutes or so. You can step up to .050, if you want a better product. However, if you wanna save money...... 3mm ACM will work.

Just call me Chester.
We use 3mm ACM for these, if you want Alum blanks, i think grimco (or any other big supplier) has them precut.
Bull Steel is good for the frames, they also have free shipping for some items.

If you want to compare prices,

I like making signs
I get my blanks from NGlantz or Grimco and the steel frames from NGlantz or BullSteel directly. Sometimes I cut my own blanks but I'm not a fan of cutting. I suppose you could order the signs from Signs365 also...

This is confirmed.

years back called up NGlantz about these metal frames, the rep unintentionally dropped they get all these type frames from Bull Steel
been buying from Bull Steel even since, faster arrival and usually cheaper (depending on QTY)

IDK, the parking sign blanks I bought 3 years ago @ $7/ea are only increasing in value these days...
But really for parking signs, .080", it's cheaper for me to order 100's than to order sheets and cut them, since I lose 1/8" and have to clean lubricant off them.
Get a shear, no kerf, no cleaning, cheap and fast. Screen printing is where blanks seem to make the most sense but not many people do that anymore.

Got rid of almost all my screen printing machines and supplies. No matter what you're doing, the flatbed will put down 2 million colors faster than any screen printing machine. And ya don't need gripers, if you're good. If I was doing one color and 25 pieces, I can still set up a station, but really, why waste all the time setting up, running, drying and then reclaiming ??

Yeah, but shear, drill, and corner round! Plus, my poor shear doesn't like much more than .063" (I'm waiting for the day the wooden step rots through and someone gets racked while trying to stomp something out...)
