Yesterday after lunch, I decided to deliver a sign, instead of someone here taking it, just for something different to do. On my way there, very close to our shop I noticed a pickup with the name Extreme Signs with a phone number under it. Later, when I got back to the shop, I called the phone number and the guy answers saying......

Ah, who's this ??

Is this a sign shop ??
Yep.
Can you give me a price on lettering my name on the two sides of my van and rear door ??
Yep, $150. to $200.
Wow, does that include my logo which is a digital picture ??
Well, I don't do those, but yeah, I'll include that, too.
How much for 5 18" x 24" 2-sided site signs ??
$15.00 a piece.
Okay, if I can't find it cheaper, I'll call ya back.

So, another sign shop has emerged from our area with the expertise of a junior mint.

I'm going to call him and farm out all my work to him. How can I go wrong ??

Oh, he told me he works out of his house, so his prices are better than most others around town.

I think it's great when some one new moves into the hood especially if they are hacks.Makes your work look all the better and you can refer all the jobs you don't want to them.

Think they might be Extreme Graphix though.
Averaging one new "shop" every 3 months in my neck of the woods.
Luckily for some reason I have been super-busy with signs, and no, I'm not cheap.
Had to quit my "real" job 2 weeks ago!
