Look into industrial/commercial anti-static guns. Body shop suppliers will have them. There are many others out there just a Google search away.

Yeah, when the snap is so loud other people stop and look to make sure you're still upright and breathing.Is that a thing? I print on styrene a lot. I've just gotten used to being electrocuted.

We do a lot of acrylic and pvc fabrication and the antistatic guns are amazing. We have a cheapo chinese knock off unit we got off Amazon and it's been excellent for us.
