Vs300i versa 5.5.1
Im not sure if this error is actually causing me my problems,my test print is perfect but i do have issues with spot colour CMYK ratios not being correct in VW (i made another thread about that).
I want to know what causes this slot error?
i would guess it`s slot 1 cartridge not seated on the sensor or something but i used other (same colour) carts in that slot and i get the same error.
Ive cleaned the sensor, the little green circuit board which pins touch the in cartridge chip.
So then i tried disconnecting the cable to the sensor at the back of the carts (see pic),even if i disconnect all of the cables i still just get an error on slot 1.
So where is it getting this error from if the cables/sensors arent even plugged in?
Ive posted another problem ,i think this `may` be related. In versaworks spot colours are being changed, so for eg RED PR43K should be C:0 M:100 Y:100 K;0 but VW is changing the output to C:3.9 M:96.1 Y:96.1 K:3.9 (see pic 2) which is coming out orangey. This is when clear film media is selected. if i select generic vinyl 1 the spot colour is correct but i cant then print white. Im not looking for a work around im looking to fix it as this has changed recently and i dont know why.
Ive had a roland engineer on the phone and he was baffled by it and should be calling back next week, he took my files to try on other printers.
The red on white file is here if someone wouldn't mind loading it up in VW to see what it says your side https://file.io/o1vot5m9Ou9w with clear film selected can you see PR43k C:0 M:100 Y:100 K;0
This is why i wonder if slot 1 error is maybe telling versaworks PR43k isnt possible? im just guessing
A weird thing, i loaded up an old pc that had Versaworks with this file and low and behold the spot colour was correct, great! so i thought id run a test from there but as soon as i plugged the network cable in and it connected to the printer the output changed to the dreaded C:3.9 M:96.1 Y:96.1 K:3.9, this is what has lead me to believe it has to be something on the printer side telling versaworks these incorrect spot colour CMYK output numbers
