Any tricks to make HP Latex 54 Plotter cut finer, better detail? (sample pics attached)

Had the HP Latex 54 plotter about 5 years and it has been a great plotter for just about everything I have thrown at it except small detail work.
I have a new customer who needs their logo plotted out and it has a reserved mark that is .328" wide from the outside of the circle.
I have tried remaking it using different R fonts, tried new blades, even blades not designed for this kind of plotting, but nothing really helps and I can't find a setting that helps with this.
I am just screwed trying to use this machine for this work?

I don't know what you have wrong but it shouldn't be like that at all, no.

I would check the usual, blade offset, blade holder, cutting strip. Maybe something else.

Did you change your offset setting when changing blade types/angles? If not, you might try again and make sure to change that setting. I would think a higher angle blade would be better for the higher detail.

I would double check to make sure you have your blade depth set correctly and also that the blade holder is seated properly in the bracket on the cutting head. Once you get those set correctly and get a nice clean test cut square, I would then reduce the cutting speed when cutting these detailed graphics to allow for extra time for the blade to swivel and complete the cuts correctly. What design and cutting program are you using? If you are using Flexi, that program can sometimes override the cut setting that you have programmed on the cutter and that can negatively affect the cut quality as well.

I discovered my mistake. I was setting my offset to the angle of my blade, 30 degree blade, 30 Offset. This is wrong.
Run the Offset test pattern and keep adjusting the offset till you have four perfectly square boxes.
The correct offset for my machine was 55.
