Any used GS-24 parts machines out there?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to fix a GS-24 we've been having issues with. Not getting a fluid motion in the cut carriage motion, which has been traced to gears missing teeth. Specifically the gear on the motor is the issue, connecting to the plastic pully assembly that drives the belt. We replaced the pully assembly as the teeth on that had worn out, causing a thunking sound - didn't initially notice the slight damage to the metal gear on the motor, so the replacement assembly wore out about a month later as well.

I'm not entirely sure how the gear was damaged, first time I've seen this. I'm being told by Roland that this part cannot be ordered individually, so I will have to order a $400 motor for a simple gear. I'm looking for some alternative options...it looks like a pretty unique gear so I've been having issues sourcing a gear with these specific specs.

Are there any used GS-24 cutters out there that have this gear I can purchase? I'm also considering 3D printing the part, I'm not sure how well this will work or how long a gear like that will last, but I don't have a lot to lose at this point.

Any thoughts? Can anyone help me out?

Sean
