Anyone going to the sgia in florida?

Just wondering if anyone else is going to the SGIA next week? Any specific products to check out?

No because it's during the work week. Stupid on them. I always go on a Saturday and this year they aren't showing over the weekend. I'd bet willing to be their attendance is down drastically.

Yea. being that its during the work week isn't the greatest but this year is supposed to have some interesting new products I want to get my hands on.

Would like to.... just cannot make the time for it this year.

One thing I'd like them to do. Require that companies do NOT spam everyone proclaiming they can get you a free expo pass to SGIA. I already know I can go to the SGIA expo hall free. I do not need an offer for a free pass from dozens upon dozens of companies (some, multiple emails offering an expo pass - I just check deleted items and I have 3 different emails from Marc Bric). I think I have literally deleted a hundred of these stupid emails already.

One thing I have learned over the years. Do NOT give any tradeshow organizer your regular email address. Make one up to use just for tradeshows.... let every vendor their scan your badge. Sure why not - I'm not going to get the spam. :Big Laugh

be there to demo some new firepower for 2014 and hit up PDAA vert stuff.

I'll be there working a few of the manufacturer's booths(roland, mimaki, mutoh). It's my first time attending SGIA so I am pretty excited. Plus Mimaki is hosting an open bar event Wednesday night which will be a good time.

Open bar at the hall? We are flying in Wednesday...... I hope we can make it.

I will be there on the 23rd for sure I may work in one more day if workload permits. It's really a bummer that it is in the middle of the week many of our employees like to go on Saturday when it is here in Orlando.

i will be there. flying in on the 22 at like 9:00pm. i want to check out a bunch of the free seminars / zones. the main thing i am interested in is color matching and getting all of our machines to print similar colors. also good to walk around and see the new technology.

On the note of color matching...... We rinted out every Pantone swatch on one sheet using our normal profile and we use that to match. Works like a champ!
