Anyone heard of doing NFC decals?

Not sure if this post is in the correct forum but here goes.

I have a customer that thought it would be cool to make some NFC decals instead of using a QR codes.

I know what it stands for (Near Field Communication) but has anyone ever done these, or can you do these with a printer? Does anyone know of anyone that could do them?

NFC tags, for example stickers or wristbands, contain small microchips with little aerials which can store a small amount of information for transfer to another NFC device, such as a mobile phone.

NFC is a chip. you cannot print a chip it would have to be an addon embedded in the vinyl or under it. it will also be a lot more expensive than a QR code, and you will need to stand next to it to get information, wheras you can simply take a picture of a qr code.

pros: you cannot see it.

cons: just about everything else.
