Pantone Color Manager might help in matching colors.

Anyone know the Pantone color for the Radio Shack red?

I don't know the Pantone swatch that may match or be close to Radio Shack red, but
if you have a copy of Pantone Color Manager, and can take a picture with a digital
camera in the context of a color managed workflow, a JPG or TIF produced from a
camera raw file can be fed into Pantone Color Manager, which will then analyze the
image and deliver to you the swatches that either match or closely approximate all
the colors that can be detected. It will indicate which ones are exact and which
ones are approximate, and even show you a side-by-side comparison of the
image color and Pantone swatch color. This assumes that the Pantone Plus
series of swatch books are the ones you want to use, as this is what comes
with Pantone Color Manager.

I just recently learned that if you have an i1pro or i1pro2 spectrophotometer, you can use
that with Pantone Color Manager to find the closest Pantone match in a selected fan deck.

Don't do that.

Even with a RAW file, and a perfectly calibrated camera, your white balance could be off, and the ambient lighting will vary the colour wildly. There's a reason we use Pantones, and it's specifically to avoid approximations like that.

Ladies and Gentlemen, Radioshack's new, awful, logo. washed-out red, and "underwear-streak" brown

can't find a PMS# without making a phone call/email, but appears to be in the PMS#179-range. (I'm guessing here, someone please correct this)
