anyone using Alien Skin Blow Up?

I have been doing some research on improving the resolution of some images, and came across the Alien Skin stuff...

I don't use photoshop, so there really is no need for me to purchase a plug in, so I was wondering if there is anyone that uses Blow Up that could try to increase the resolution of an image for me.

Thanks in advance,
Mark

I have Blowup and can try to enlarge your image for you. Just email to the address in my signature. Is there some reason you prefer Blowup over other image enlargement software?

Like I said, I was doing some research to see if there was a program that I could get for my use, and came across Blowup, and since Adobe Photoshop is the big name on the graphics block, I figured an add on to it would be better than some off the wall program...

Is there a better program out there?

Perfect Resize
, which is the successor to Genuine Fractals, is pretty much the best known utility for image enlargement and is both a plugin and a standalone application. Photozoom Pro is also a standalone or plugin. I'll be happy to do your enlargement but I have my doubts that Blowup is any better than what I've mentioned here and it is only available as a plugin for Photoshop.

I sent an e-mail to Fred, and he took the old file that I had asked about, and he worked his magic, and I now have a file that doesn't look like it was nabbed off the internet.

He used blowup (1), and it came out better than I expected.

I did try to download the perfect resize, and it went on my computer, but when I open the program, it askes what file to select, but fails to open. I'm sure I downloaded a plug in version, and when I get a few free minutes, I'm going to try again.

All in all, Fred is the man when it comes to this stuff.:thumb: He even sent over some info on raster images that I didn't know.

Thanks again, Fred. Couldn't have done it with out you.

I've never tried any special resize program but I have read when using photoshop you get much better results resizing by 110% over and over till you get to the desired size.

Perfect Resize is a really a good application, I have used Genuine Fractals as it was previously known, to enlarge photographic images almost 1000% with very good results.

Below is a photo (actual printed image looks much better) of a 9' tall trailer showing a 10" tall photo enlarged to 108".

Yep, our secret is out NOW!

Been using Genuine Fractals since 2.0 on the Mac, that was many moons ago, the new version is much, much better.
