Anyone using bulk ink tanks on a VS540? Problem with micro-bubbles?

I am gearing up to replace my printer with a VS and have used Triangle inks for 10 years- my ink guy sez he has heard of 'micro-bubble' problems
with the single head machines. If you are going to post to tell me to use Roland ink... don't please. I get to do it my way and you are free to do it yours.
thanks Gene

I run bulk ink on 20 printers here with no "micro bubble" issues to speak of. I run Mutoh instead of Roland, but the same print heads none the less. All single head machines.

DX6 and DX7 print head machines.
Triangle just put a bid in for our ink business, no mention of issues with any machines I operate.

EDIT: As a matter of fact the company we went with for our inks runs Roland machines. I have been to their facility numerous times and seen the majority of their test machines on bulk inks, including the model you are asking about.

Thank you- have you heard of the micro-bubble issue then? I have used only Triangle ink in 2 rolands and have had zero problems- very durable and good colors.
Thanks Gene

I have not heard of "micro bubbles", except in my micro brew.
The system I use is a 1.5 liter tank x 4 that sits on top of the machine. The spout is near the bottom of the tank which allows any impurities to sink to the bottom and not go through the line, due to the fact that the spout is like 1/3" higher than the bottom. I still use an inline filter after the tank, before the pinter, just in case. Never had any air bubble issues.
